| SHELLING PROCESS
The shelling process consist of the following stages: |
BLANCHED PROCESS
Blanched process consists of the following stages: |
| |
Reception
The raw material is analyzed to determine its aptitude to be sorted as HPS peanut, or rejected with destination as crushing stock.
Heating
To facilitate the later removal of the skin
| |
Precleaning
This stage consist in precleaning the farmerstock and drying up to 9% if the raw material has higher level of moisture.
Blanched
Through machines specially designed to take the skin off the kernels
| |
Cleaning
Here the goal is to take all the possible foreign material out leaving just the in-shell peanuts.
Electronic sorting
To eliminate damaged kernels, or partially blanched and unblanched kernels
| |
Shelling
The aim of this stage is to separate the kernels from the shell
Metal detection
To avoid the contamination with ferrous and not ferrous foreign bodies and stainless steel pieces.
| |
Selection
At this stage, the selection takes place through gravity tables, electromagnets and electronic sorting machines to separate foreign matter, damaged kernels and other defects
